“Antiques Roadshow” says it wants to make your furniture a star.
It just sent out a casting call for interesting heirloom furniture to appear on the set in episodes to be produced from Tucson on May 30.
“Do you have a colonial card table perfect for TV, a photogenic folk art dresser, or other star-in-the-making piece? Antiques Roadshow, PBS’s most-watched ongoing series, invites you to submit a photo for consideration,” the show says.
About 10 items will be selected to be appraised and displayed on the set throughout the event. Selected pieces must be within 50 miles of Tucson, and will be transported to the event and back at no cost to the owner.
“These pieces of furniture bring a museum-like feel to our set, and thousands of event attendees get to enjoy seeing these treasured items,” Roadshow executive producer Marsha Bemko said in a news release. “And it is a great opportunity for guests to learn the history and value of items that typically wouldn’t leave their home.”
