This Black Friday, big chains offering mega-deals are banking that consumers will storm into their stores before the turkey even has a chance to cool.
In years past, the shopping frenzy began in the wee hours of the morning, but this year retailers have pushed the starting time even earlier.
All the way into "Black Friday eve," or what many of us call Thanksgiving.
Here's when some major chains will open their doors and start offering deals:
Walmart
Walmart stores will maintain their regular hours, some staying open 24 hours.
All day on Thanksgiving, Walmart.com will have online-only specials that include 46-inch HDTVs for under $400.
But this year, because Walmart customers told the massive retailer they'd rather stay up late to shop than get up early, deals on some items will start at 10 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.
