Law partners change, so firm is renamed
Following the recent retirement of partners Susan M. Freund and Richard S. Hudgins and the addition of three new partners, the law firm of Slosser, Hudgins, Struse & Freund PLC has changed its name.
Attorneys Ronna L. Fickbohm, James K. Marvel, and Amy E. Fletcher have joined the law firm, which will now be known as Slosser Struse Fickbohm Marvel & Fletcher PLC.
The firm will continue to focus on estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship matters, and probate and trust litigation.
Fickbohm, who has more than 23 years of litigation experience. was previously a partner with the law firm of Gabroy, Rollman & Bossé PC and before that was a deputy Pima County attorney.

Marvel has had his own practice in Tucson for 18 years. Prior to that, he practiced in both California and Iowa. He has a master's degree in estate planning from the University of Miami.
Fletcher has been practicing law specifically in the areas of estate planning and estate administration for more than 15 years. A graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law, she previously was a partner with the law firm of Duffield Adamson Helenbolt & Fletcher PC.
Sol Casinos names a new sales staff
Sol Casinos has named a new sales staff as it prepares for the opening of the Casino Del Sol Resort, Spa & Conference Center.
• Mark Scheller, vice president of sales
A 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Scheller most recently was director of global accounts for HelmsBriscoe, the nation's largest procurement source for meetings and events. He previously held sales management and director positions with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Sheraton and Omni hotels.
• LeeAnn Schacht, senior sales manager
A 10-year industry veteran, Schacht previously held positions at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, Radisson and Desert Diamond. In her new role, Schacht will be responsible for national, state and regional association business.
• Valerie Diaz, international and specialty markets sales manager
Diaz has managed the marketing department for Sol Casinos for five years and has 15 years of combined marketing and sales experience in gaming, the airline industry and non-profit sector.
• Michelle Morales, catering sales manager
Morales previously handled catering coordination for events hosted by Sol Casinos both on site and throughout the surrounding area. In her new role, Morales will be responsible for booking and management of events in the new conference center and outdoor venues. A Pascua Yaqui tribal member and native Tucsonan, she has more than 12 years of experience in marketing and sales.
Farmers Group names Rachel Brody adviser
Farmers Insurance Group has appointed Rachel Brody as its newest adviser in Tucson.
Brody, who holds licenses for both property and casualty and life and health insurance, worked in management for the Society of Actuaries in Chicago for 17 years. She holds a degree in English.
Brody focuses on auto, home, life and business insurance products.
