Saturday is your chance to be rewarded for sketchy behavior.
Charlie's Comics will host its Dynamic Doodle competition as part of an all-day comic book event. Artists get a pencil, a blank sheet of paper and 10 minutes to create works of comic art.
The competition is part of a full day of comic fun that includes additional drawing contests for people of all ages and skill levels, costume play, a panel discussion with local artists, and a raffle to benefit UNICEF.
The event is sponsored by Charlie's and Phoenix Comicon, the state's largest comic convention.
The Phoenix Comicon, which takes place next month, attracts comic and sci-fi fans of all stripes, including fans of Marvel Comics, Japanese animation, "Star Trek" and "Star Wars."
Saturday's event at Charlie's will give locals a glimpse of what to expect next month.

"Our convention may be based in Phoenix, but our passion for comics and art knows no boundaries," says Phoenix Comicon Director Matt Solberg.
Winners of the costume contest — "cosplay" to those in the know — will receive passes to this year's Comicon in Phoenix.
Charlie Harris, owner of Charlie's Comics, says he expects a few young Hulks, Batmen and Supermen, as well as some older fans dressed as their favorite Japanese comic heroes.
"The cosplay concept is a big thing among the anime and Japanese art fans," Harris says.
Several local comic book creators will be on hand, including Ryan Cody, artist of "Villains" from Viper Comics; Raven Gregory, the creator and writer of "The Gift" from Image Comics; and Ben Glendenning, artist of "Super World Presents."
Raffle prizes will include original art, graphic novels, trade paperbacks and variant-cover comic editions.
Harris says he's asked that all the funds raised for UNICEF be directed toward the group's work in Darfur, Sudan.
