Downtown parade on Saturday
The weather does not look promising for this weekend's street fair or for the 13th annual Downtown Parade of Lights and Festival on Saturday. It's supposed to be windy and wet, but that's not likely to stop the festivities.
The parade begins at East 17th Street and North Stone Avenue and ends up at Armory Park at the northeast corner of South Sixth Avenue and East 13th Street.
Before and after the procession of floats and marching bands, the park will be the place to be. There will be an arts fair, pictures with Santa, games for ages 5 to 12, jumping castles and, of course, plenty of food and live entertainment. The festival is from 4 to 9 p.m.; the parade begins at 6 p.m. It will be televised on Access Tucson.
