Ben Vereen was set to come to Tucson over Thanksgiving weekend for his "Steppin' Out Live" show at Fox Tucson Theatre.
But days before the gig, the actor/singer/dancer rescheduled the show to March.
Last week, he begged out of the rescheduled date, which was to have been on March 20. His manager said he was tapped in early February to film the TV remake of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," which also stars Victoria Justice and Tim Curry.
Vereen will play Dr. Everett Scott, the ex-science teacher and uncle of Eddie — played by Adam Lambert — who is hunting UFOs for the Bureau of Investigation. His search leads him to the castle of Dr. Frank-n-Furter.
Kenny Ortega ("High School Musical," "Hocus Pocus") will direct and choreograph the film, which is set to air this fall on Fox.

Vereen's manager said the entertainer is likely to reschedule his missed Tucson show in 2017.
