Janos Wilder is pulling up stakes at Westin La Paloma Resort and closing his restaurants, Janos and J Bar.
The celebrated chef will cook his final meals at those two restaurants at 3770 E. Sunrise Drive on May 26. Wilder's Downtown Kitchen + Cocktails is not affected by those closings.
Richard Brooks, La Paloma's sales and marketing director, said the resort is working now on how it will fill that space.
"There’s plans in the works," he said. "We have to make sure that that space will be filled with a restaurant concept that may be managed on our end."
Brooks said the resort hopes to make a seamless transition that won't disturb its summer season. That's when the resort hosts mostly regional and Arizona travelers in weekend getaways.

"We want to make sure there aren't any gaps" in restaurant service, he said.
Wilder could not be reached for comment this morning.
