Holly Nocera is all about bartending.
She works two jobs — at the World Famous Golden Nugget Tavern on North First Avenue, and at the Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar at 565 E. Wetmore Road . She invented her own drink, the "fruity concoction." She even married a bartender.
Nocera — then Holly Devine — married Paris Nocera, a bartender at The Shelter, on Oct. 7 in a ceremony at the Zellweger Mansion , known as the "The Z," Downtown. The Mockingbirds, a local '80s New Wave and retro rock 'n' roll band, played at the reception.
For their honeymoon, Holly and Paris went to Cabo San Lucas and toured the wineries outside Santa Barbara, Calif.
"We bought a bottle at each winery we stopped at," Holly Nocera said. "So we can drink one for each of our next five or so anniversaries."

Returning to work was a reality check after their time in wine country. But Nocera says she loves what she does. And she loves the people she meets at work.
"Paris and I fixed a Sunday Thanksgiving dinner for all of our friends who worked on Thanksgiving," Nocera said. "We roasted the turkey on a rotisserie. It was a lot of fun."
How did Paris propose?
"We were visiting a friend in Newport Beach and we went for a walk along the beach at sunset and he asked me."
At the wedding, what song played during your first dance?
"Dave Matthews Band's 'When the World Ends.' "
What goes into a "fruity concoction"?
"Malibu coconut rum, Apple Pucker schnapps, pineapple juice and cranberry juice."
Where do you like to hang out when you're not at the Golden Nugget or Applebees?
"I'm usually at The Shelter or The Bambi."
What is something people don't know about you?
"I can chop wood like nothing. I grew up in a country house in Ohio. We had a wood-burning stove. There were seven kids in the family, so the electric bill would have been insane if we didn't use wood."
