Plush, the Fourth Avenue venue that's long been one of Tucson's best places to watch live music, is starting a summer film series.
Plush plans to show about two films a month, projecting movies onto a blow-up screen in the back room near the stage. The first film, "Reefer Madness," screens June 8.
The Summer Pfilm Series is a first for the venue.
"It's something we've always wanted to do," says marketing assistant Nicole Paulus, noting that the timing seemed right with Plush's recent renovation.
"With all the changes going on, everyone's in that willing-to-try-new-things sort of attitude."
Doors open at 9 p.m., and the movie starts at 9:30, but Paulus recommends getting there early because there's a limited number of beanbag chairs.

Admission is free, and there will be movie-related drink specials and popcorn for purchase.
