Harkins' Arizona Pavilions 12 Theatres in Marana has extended its $5 any show ticket price through year's end.
The theater, 5755 N. Business Park Drive off North Cortaro Road and Interstate 10, cut ticket prices to $5 for any show back in October for a one-month run. The price closely mirrors its AMC Loews Foothills 15 ticket price of $5.99. The Foothills Mall theater dropped its regular prices in August 2015.
Harkins has been in Marana since 2013 when it took over the financially strapped independently-owned Tower Theaters, Tower had largely limped along through six years financially-challenging years including filing bankruptcy to narrowly avoid foreclosure.
The $5 price is only good for the Marana Harkins theater. The Tucson Spectrum 18 on the south side is still charging regular ticket prices.
