Two honorary Tucsonans are heading home this weekend for a free concert at La Rosa.
David Huckfelt, who made his La Rosa debut in December with former Tucson blues harmonica whiz Tom Walbank, is sharing the stage Sunday, April 5, with celebrated folk singer Keith Secola.
The pair will perform on the patio of La Rosa's new restaurant, Sisters Restaurant.
The pair have been longtime musical allies whose careers have intersected over the years, including last month when they joined forces in Hollywood to perform Secola's Indigenous anthem "NDN Kars" with John Densmore of The Doors. The song was featured in the hit AMC TV show "Dark Winds."

Over Secola and Huckfelt's 15-year musical bond, they have shared the stage with artists and activists including Bon Iver, The Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, Winona LaDuke and Louise Erdrich.
Keith Secola, driving, and David Huckfelt will perform a free show on the patio of Sisters Restaurant at La Rosa on Sunday.
The pair now share a record label, Don Giovanni Records, which recently released new albums from both artists.
Huckfelt gave Tucson a preview of his Tucson-made record "I Was Born, But..." at his show in December. The record has garnered glowing reviews for its "nuanced curating" of songs by Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Adrianne Lenker, Howe Gelb and Secola himself.
Huckfelt's new original song, "Chief Seattle's Dream," featured in the season four premiere of "Dark Winds," is a collaboration with John Trudell's longtime singing collaborator Quiltma of the Warm Springs Nation.
Secola, meanwhile, has been making the rounds as Indian Country's elder statesman, performing with such legends as Gary Farmer as well as contributing to benefits and ceremonies with artists including Arvol Looking Horse.
When the pair comes to Tucson, solo or together, they are treated like hometown musical heroes due to their collaborations with Howe Gelb, Walbank, Gabriel Ayala and other Tucson musical luminaries. The pair also has a long history of recording with Gabriel Sullivan at his Dust + Stone Studios.
The pair will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at La Rosa, 800 N. Country Club Road. Admission is free. For tickets and more information, visit bit.ly/huckfeltsecolalarosa.
