Re: Need some romance? Tell us what you love about Tucson.
Timothy Beeker: The desert. There is no place on the planet like the Sonoran Desert. What’s a more uplifting sight than a hawk flying free, or more exhilarating than the rattle of the snake as you pass by? The smell of rain, the sound of rolling thunder?
Tina Whitecotton: Full arc double rainbows, monsoon thunderstorms, summer days when the temperature drops 30 degrees in five minutes, Arizona Sonora Desert Museum.
Mary Reddell: I love the creosotes, the road runners and Gambel’s quail — all the birds that I enjoy here. The mountains that surround Tucson always give a beautiful show, too.
Nanci Hill McCune: I never would have rediscovered my passion for painting sunsets had we not moved to Tucson four years ago. I will never run out of inspiration! There is no place on earth like Tucson.

Dortha Sheller-Cunningham: I love Tucson for a few reasons, the street signs are easy to read, good Mexican food, not like what we get in Ohio. The majority of people are friendly to outsiders. I’m getting homesick and I have never lived there, just a lowly visitor dreaming about the possibilities.
Beth Newby: We visited Tucson for several years and yearned for it when we were gone. Nearly four years ago we took the leap and moved here. Best decision ever.
David Crowell: Flip-flops and shorts in February while friends and family on the East Coast are shoveling snow.
Janet Abdel-Gawad: Lots of good things. But horrible roads.
Lee Ann Markle Hamilton: Clear, blue skies over amazing biodiverse sky islands.
