TEMPE – One man died and a second was wounded in a shooting that happened after a bar fight, Tempe police said.
According to Tempe police, a fight broke out between a group of people just after 1 a.m. Tuesday.
The two victims left the bar in a car when they exchanged gunfire with suspects who may also have been in a car, Tempe police said.
The driver, Corey Washington, 25, of Phoenix, was fatally wounded and hit a parked SUV, said Tempe police spokesman Brandon Banks. The passenger, whose identity has not been released, got out of the car but collapsed because of his wounds and was found by police and taken to a hospital, police said.
He's expected to survive.
No arrests have been made and the only suspect description provided by witnesses to police was of two or three black males. There was no description of their age, vehicle or clothing, police said.

The shooting did not appear to be random, police said.
Tempe police were investigating late Tuesday whether or not the shooting may be gang related. "Initial witness interviews indicate that the parties involved are gang members," Banks said. "But there's no indication that it was gang related at this time."
The shooting was not connected with the Tempe Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Party nearby, Banks said.
