A woman who fled after crashing into a home, killing a 5-year-old boy, will be featured on the television show “America’s Most Wanted” Saturday night.
Michele Comstock has been on the lam for nearly 17 years. In an effort to catch her, authorities have released a photo of what Comstock might look like now.
The night of the accident — Dec. 1, 1990 — Comstock reportedly went to various Tucson bars, drinking at least five cocktails and taking pain killer drugs, according to Arizona Daily Star archives.
She left the bar at 1 a.m. and got behind the wheel of a Lincoln Continental.
During the drive, Comstock’s car careened into a home, crushing Collin Gunning who fell asleep on a living room chair while his older sister watched a video.
Upon hearing the commotion, Collin’s father went into the living to see Comstock crawling out of her passenger window before running away.

Police tracked Comstock to her home using Christmas cards addressed to a nearby trailer park, Star archives show.
Four weeks before Comstock’s 1992 trial, she disappeared.
She was tried in absentia and convicted of manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and two counts of driving under the influence.
A warrant was issued for her arrest and she faces between five and 19 years in prison.
Comstock has been featured on the national TV show in the past, generating tips that she was in Mexico.
The show will air at 8 p.m. on Fox 11 KMSB.
