Eight people were arrested and four vehicles were seized Wednesday morning in multi-agency raids, targeting suspected racketeering activities of street gangs in Tucson.
The alleged gang members arrested in the raids are suspected of narcotics trafficking, money laundering, trafficking in firearms and committing violent crimes, according to a news release from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The eight arrested were identified as:
Nathaniel Griffin, Nichol Celaya, Williezine Griffin Sr., Cedric Jackson, Jose Barrio Jr., Augustine Guillen, Juan Gallegos and Timothy Musgrove.
They are each facing numerous charges.
More than 50 officers from local and state law enforcement agencies were involved in serving search warrants at seven locations in Tucson before dawn. All warrants and arrests happened without incidents.

Among items seized by officers were 11 weapons, a trailer, small amounts of heroin, cocaine, marijuana, ammunition and about $4,500.
The investigation was a collaborative effort, which included the public safety department's Gang and Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission and the Tucson Police Department.
The case is being prosecuted by the criminal division of the Arizona Attorney General's Office in Tucson.
