Border Patrol agents working a checkpoint on Interstate 19 near Tubac found two undocumented Mexican nationals inside the trunk of a car Tuesday, authorities said.
The two individuals were traveling in the trunk of a Buick Century, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release.
A front seat passenger in the car also was an undocumented immigrant, said authorities.
The driver, a U.S. citizen, was taken into custody, and the three undocumented people will face deportation, states the release.
In another incident Wednesday at the checkpoint, agents found three packages of heroin hidden in the under garments of a teen from Mexico. The heroin had an estimated value of $45,000, according to the release.
The girl, who had a visitor's visa, was traveling in a shuttle service that was headed to Tucson.

Deputies of the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department took custody of the teen, and the narcotics, according to the release.
