A hiker who fell 40 feet off a boulder on Cat Mountain was rescued by a law enforcement helicopter and taken by ambulance to Banner-University Medical Center Tucson Friday night.
The man, in his 20s, suffered non-life threatening injuries, said Tracy Koslowski, a Drexel Heights Fire District spokeswoman.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Drexel Heights firefighters were dispatched to Cat Mountain, which is southwest of the city. The mountain is north of West Ajo Way, and east of South Kinney Road.
Two brothers, both in their mid-20s, were hiking the mountain trailhead, and one of them fell 40 feet off a boulder and then rolled another 50 feet, Koslowski said.
Both men had cell phones and water.
In addition to Drexel Heights, Southern Arizona Rescue Association, Pima County Sheriff's Department and the Department of Public Safety helicopter helped in the rescue operation.

Search and rescue volunteers walked the uninjured hiker down the trailhead, and the DPS helicopter used a stokes basket to lower the injured man down the mountain.
Paramedics administered care and took him by ambulance to the hospital.
"He was conscious, alert and breathing on his own, Koslowski said.
