The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee released a new 30-second ad earlier this week, critical of statements made by Republican Congressional District 2 candidate Martha McSally.
The new ad, titled "Dust" takes the position that McSally wants to "give millionaires and large corporations a big tax break" noting she supported a partisan budget in 2012 that would cut taxes for millionaires that would also raise taxes on middle class families.
The DCCC also launched a new website, marthamcsallyfacts.com, to supplement the new ads.
McSally campaign spokesperson Patrick Ptak said the attack ads distort McSally's position and is a sign of the growing desperation of her political enemies.
“D.C. liberals in Washington know how vulnerable (Rep.) Ron Barber is, which is why they’re spending millions in false attack ads to distract from his terrible record, such as voting for a budget to cut Southern Arizona veterans’ hard-earned benefits and praising Medicare cuts that are happening to seniors," Ptak said.

"Martha has made clear she does not support the Ryan budget, and unlike Ron Barber, she’s fighting to reduce burdens on the middle class and keep taxes low for everyone - families, individuals, and businesses."
Text of the ad:
(Narrator, speaking off camera)
"Arizona families don't back down from a challenge. But with Martha McSally the struggling middle class families has to work even harder to find their footing.
McSally would hike up our taxes by nearly $1,400 a year, make the middle class carry even more of the burden.
Why? To hand tax breaks to billionaires and huge corporations.
With Martha McSally come out on top while Arizona families get left in the dust.
