Lambert, who staged a fashion fundraiser last year for Emerge Center Against Domestic Abuse, hopes to make a transformative difference in the community by supporting local nonprofits in memory of Margarita Munsen and Garrett Ronstadt. Lambert was inspired to support Wright Flight after learning that the nonprofit partners with schools — many of whom are underprivileged and/or low-income — to help students set and achieve goals to earn the right to fly airplanes.
“I went out on a ‘Fly Day’ and watched kids land planes. It is just incredible,” Lambert said. “It changes their lives. I have spoken to adults who went through the program when they were children and they say they don’t know where they would be if not for Wright Flight. I have seen the impact it has on people’s lives and that is where my heart is.”
With the help of supporters such as A-Team Mortgage, her co-director Leah Schwersinske and photographer Adelyn Baber, Lambert hopes to raise at least $10,000 to benefit the program.
Tickets for the event begin at $55 per person. Go to http://tucne.ws/1oaj for more information.
