The East Valley Tribune in Mesa has been awarded a Pulitzer Prize for local reporting.
The newspaper won for its stories about Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's focus on immigration enforcement and how it endangered investigation of violent crime and other aspects of public safety, according to the Pulitzer Web site.
