Heavy rains overnight have led to washed out roads, flowing washes and a few river rescues.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department assisted stranded motorists stuck in the Cañada del Oro Wash in Catalina and the Tanque Verde Creek on the east side of Tucson early Friday morning, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
The Mount Lemmon Highway remains closed at the base of the mountains, while roads closed because of flooding include:
∫ West El Camino del Cerro just west of Interstate 10.
∫ West Overton Road at the Cañada del Oro Wash crossing.
∫ North Wilds Road at Cañada del Oro Wash crossing.
∫ North La Cholla Boulevard at the Cañada del Oro Wash crossing.

Tucson International Airport had recorded 1.17 inches of rain as of 12 p.m., with 1.16 of that coming since midnight, already breaking the daily record of 0.60 inches set in 2004.
For the month Tucson has gotten 1.53 inches, more than twice the normal January rainfall total of 0.72 inches.
More precipitation was expected throughout today and into Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a winter storm warning for tonight and early Saturday.
Snow levels could drop below 4,000 feet overnight, with a dusting possible for areas of the Foothills, the weather service said.
