Pima Council on Aging has launched a new program, Nosh&Know, that covers a variety of topics on aging well.
On Thursday the discussion will focus on fall prevention.
“The good news is that there are practical ways most falls can be prevented and so that is the impetus for Pima Council on Aging (PCOA) to start a new educational series, “Nosh&Know,” Karen Fogas, director of Healthy Living programs at PCOA, said in a news release. “The new series of discussions led by PCOA specialists is designed to offer practical tips on key aging issues, and valuable insights that may help older adults navigate topics with more confidence, and with the facts in hand,” Fogas added.
Thursday’s discussion is from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Katie Dusenberry Healthy Aging Center, 600 S. Country Club Rd. It will feature expert speakers, and tips on preventing falls and staying safe at home.
