The city’s TreeCycle Program kicked off this past Tuesday, and runs through Jan. 15 at sites in Tucson and Oro Valley.
The city will grind up the trees and give the wood chips to the public at the Randolph Golf Course and Los Reales landfill after Jan. 4.
Trees should be free of ornaments, wire and tinsel. Do not include stands or place the tree inside a plastic bag.
Udall Park and Rillito Race Track are no longer tree recycling locations.
Where to recycle your Christmas Tree:
- Oro Valley lot "Naranja Park": 810 W. Naranja Drive, open through Jan. 7
- Golf Links Sports Park: 2400 S. Craycroft Road
- Tucson Rodeo Grounds: Third Avenue north of Irvington Road
- Los Reales Landfill: 5300 E. Los Reales Road. Mon-Sat., 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Silverbell Site: Northeast corner of Silverbell Road and Goret Road
- Purple Heart Park: 10050 Rita Road
- Randolph Golf Course: 600 S. Alvernon Way (southeast portion of parking lot)
- Tank's Roll-offs and Recycling: 7301 E. Speedway. Mon-Fri. 7 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sat. 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
