This is Giant George's world. We just live here.
The world's tallest dog, a Tucson resident, has followed up his Oprah appearance and Guinness World Records coronation with a deal to publish his memoir in spring 2011.
Owner Dave Nasser will pen the book, titled "Giant George: Life With the Tallest Dog in the World." Nasser's agent, Rob Dinsdale at Heather Holden Brown Agency, sold the proposal to Kerri Sharp, Simon & Schuster's senior commissioning editor.
The publisher described the advance it gave Nasser as in the "healthy five-figures."
"Most of the material in the book will be new stuff," Nasser said, "funny stuff that people haven't heard before."
George, a 43-inch-tall Great Dane, was named World's Tallest Dog by Guinness in February.
