A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to lure several Marana children into his vehicle for sexual exploitation, Marana police said. The incidents occurred in the Continental Reserve Community.
Officers were first contacted about 4:20 p.m. July 21 to investigate a report of suspicious activity in the area of Silverbell Road and Coachline Boulevard. They were notified that a man in a blue SUV approached two juveniles and made sexually explicit comments to them, according to a Marana Police Department news release.
At 5:34 p.m. the same day, officers received a similar call involving a man in a blue SUV making sexual comments toward three additional juveniles.
On July 22, around 11 a.m., Marana police received a third and similar report involving a man in a blue SUV who had approached two children in an attempt to speak to them on July 20.

After collecting statements, gathering evidence, and conducting follow-up interviews with the children, officers identified the man as Robert Giese and located him. He was arrested and booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of two felony counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
