A 32-year-old man was shot during a fight Sunday morning in the parking lot of a midtown club, police said.
Police received reports of a shooting at 2:11 a.m. at Ten's Showclub, 5120 E. Speedway, said Sgt. Maria Hawke, a Tucson Police Department spokeswoman.
Police found the wounded man, and Tucson Fire Department paramedics transported the man with life-threatening injuries to a hospital, Hawke said.
A preliminary investigation showed that a fight broke out between two groups of people in the parking lot of the club, Hawke said.
Several shots were fired, and a white SUV left the parking lot at a high rate of speed, Hawke said. Officers saw the SUV and pursued it. The vehicle stopped near East Rosewood Street and North Magnolia Avenue, and an unknown number of people ran from the vehicle, Hawke said.
