Tucson police detectives took the parents of missing 6-year-old Isabel Mercedes Celis back to their midtown home Wednesday as part of their investigation.
They first took Sergio Celis, a Little League coach, dental assistant and opera singer, into the home for questioning.
Later, Becky Celis, a Tucson Medical Center nurse, was brought and questioned separately.
"The family has been cooperating," said police Lt. Fabian Pacheco, describing the events as part of the "normal investigative process."
Police are still checking out numerous tips, which have totaled 500 since the investigation began.
What's next
• A softball tournament will raise funds for the Celis family Saturday, noon to 7 p.m., at Kino Veterans Memorial Sports Park, South Country Club Road and East Ajo Way.

• Members of the Arizona Opera chorus, of which Sergio Celis has been a member for several years, have organized a benefit concert Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Catalina United Methodist Church, 2700 E. Speedway.

The community has raised more than $14,000, which includes a portion to go directly to help support the Celis family and the remainder for costs related to the search effort.
• In addition, 88-CRIME is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible for Isabel's disappearance. Private donors contributed $49,000 to the reward fund.
