A middle school teacher in Tucson is facing charges of distributing child pornography, according to federal officials.
Ryan Bono, 36, who lives in Oro Valley, is a language arts teacher at Math and Science Success Academy, a charter school on the south side, and a youth soccer coach. He was arrested this week by special agents with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations. He is charged with one count of distributing child pornography, according to a news release from ICE.
Bono is currently on administrative leave, according to a spokeswoman for the school.
According to a criminal complaint, Bono downloaded and shared child pornography using peer-to-peer computer applications with an undercover federal agent including a video file depicting young boys engaged in sexually explicit activity, ICE said. A search of his computers at home found multiple video files depicting child pornography, ICE said.

Bono is being held in federal custody; a detention hearing is scheduled for Friday.
ICE said evidence does not indicate any of the youths Bono taught or coached were victims.
If convicted, Bono faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
