St. Philip's in the Hills
St. Philip's Friends of Music presents the annual Bach Marathon: Two Days of Magnificent Music!
This year's program offers several ways to experience Johann Sebastian Bach's music on the church's Holtkamp pipe organ.
On Friday at 7:30 p.m., concert-goers will be treated to a selection of Bach's chamber music, featuring The Musical Offering, performed by noted local musicians Sandy Schwoebel, flute; Larry Lang, violin; Zoran Stilin, cello; and Jeffrey Campbell, harpsichord.
Saturday's program begins at noon with an "Organ In-Formance!" Jeffrey Campbell will explain the king of instruments.
Organist Elizabeth Lenti, from All Saints' Episcopal Church in Pasadena, Calif., will be featured at 1 p.m.
At 3 p.m., Organ Marathon Plus! will feature four local organists.
