Pianist and composer Greg Starr will perform a concert to benefit a local nonprofit that helps 25,000 people a year in Pima County.
The concert will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Road.
It's free, but donations will go to Interfaith Community Services, which runs programs for individuals and families who need food and emergency financial aid, people who are disabled and senior citizens.
Starr's performance will include selections from his most recent album, "A Singular Point of Grace: Songs From the Guesthouse," featuring original music for solo piano, according to a press release from Interfaith Community Services.
Starr has performed with groups across the country, including the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, the Kenosha Symphony, the Milwaukee Opera Company, and numerous artists such as Horace Silver, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Fred Rogers, The Bangles and Milli Vanilli, the news release said.
