Behind her handiwork displayed on a table, woodworker Carol Ann Dohrmann sat in husband Bob's lap Saturday as the two enjoyed a quiet moment during a lull at the Desert Gift Boutique at Pantano Christian Church, 10355 E. 29th St.
"We meet a lot of nice people here," Carol Ann said. "We've been here several years, and it's a pretty good show."
The couple, married almost 50 years, still hold hands as they go on walks, Bob said, so they took advantage of the time between customers to cuddle up.
Started four years ago, the show provides local vendors and community members a "good atmosphere to sell and buy," said Robin Blumenthal, the church children's pastor and the event organizer and coordinator.
"It's a good, fun thing and everybody seems to enjoy the atmosphere," she said.

There is space for about 140 booths inside and outside, she said, and the event has grown each year.
"It's probably doubled in terms of shoppers" compared to the first year, Blumenthal said.
The event wasn't created as a fundraiser but "any extra funds that do come in go into the children's ministry," Blumenthal said.
