Used and abandoned items from campus are waiting to become your treasures at a University of Arizona auction Saturday.
The UA's Surplus Property Office regular sales are typically on Tuesdays, and it's been a while since there's been a Saturday sale, auctioneer Oscar Jaramillo said.
"We do have a lot of regulars, and we're trying to get some fresh people in," he said.
Here are some of the items on his sales list.
• At least 40 bicycles and bike frames. Many were seized when they were illegally parked and then never were claimed. Others were found by police or abandoned on campus. The auctioneer moves hundreds of bikes each year, with prices starting at $5 and averaging $40.
• Hundreds of computers, monitors and printers - even some laptops. When the UA upgrades to a new model, the old ones are auctioned off. If you buy, you'd have to drop in your own hard drive. You can pick one out and test it today before the auction on Saturday.
