Gloomy skies and cool, crisp air couldn't wipe the smile off Guilloume's face as he passed the artists' booths at the Ventana Holiday Art Festival on Saturday.
"It's beautiful. We cannot control this. It's a gift from the good Lord," said Guilloume, an artist from Santa Fe. "If you cannot change it, just make the best of it."
Guilloume, who uses only one name, has shown his work at the festival for 10 years. "I love what I do. I always enjoy coming here. I love Tucson," he said.
The festival at Ventana Plaza, 5425 N. Kolb Road, is a two-day event held every year on the first weekend of December. A Spring Art Festival also is held every year on the second weekend of April.
"We have the highest-quality show you'll find in Tucson," said Sandi Jewell, event organizer. "They are all juried artists. These artists are local and from all over the country."
