Name: Moira Marti Geoffrion.
Age: 63.
Media: Mixed, including sculptures, paintings and public art.
Hometown: Geoffrion grew up on a farm near Marietta, Ohio.
Question: Why did you choose to live in Tucson?
Answer: The University of Arizona came after us (Moira and her husband, Charles, who also worked for the university). We had no intention of moving. Tucson has strange forms that are very old. Things don't decay as quickly. I was intrigued by their history. The desert influences me.
Where do you get inspiration?
The natural environment, events that I have experienced or you could say my personal life and memories. I collect things and put them on my memory wall. I have things from my grandparents, my parents and lots of found objects.

How do you market your work and where is your artwork sold?
Galleries do a lot of the marketing. Museum shows are wonderful and many of them have nice catalogs. I also promote myself to keep materials flowing. If I don't make art, I am not a nice person.
