It was a picture-perfect day to be creating a picture-perfect wedding.
About 100 brides-to-be spent Sunday at the free idointucson.com bridal show at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club.
The prospective brides had the chance to visit with 40 vendors regarding all aspects of weddings, including planning, videography, cakes, flowers, music, photography, catering and even transportation.
The Lodge at Ventana Canyon is located at 6200 N. Clubhouse Lane.
The bridal show, which is a quarterly event, offered a small setting for arranging a wedding.
"I like doing the idointucson.com bridal fairs because it's more intimate. There are generally 100 or so brides and it's not like the Tucson Community Center where you get 300, or even 600 brides," said vendor Bobby Soltero, owner of Soltero Productions, which does video.

"Just about every bride that comes and stops here, we can talk to and do a personal pitch to. So it works out really well to get the one-on-one contact with them."
Emily Randall, director of catering at The Lodge at Ventana Canyon, said the vendors at the fair tend to negotiate more than at larger bridal events.
"I think that when you are going to an expo, they are stuck on their prices and don't offer as much in terms of discounts," she said.
For William Gydesen and his future wife, Becky McKiddy, sampling some of the products was an added benefit.
"You can just walk in here and it's all here, plus there is food and that's always a bonus," Gydesen said as he tried a piece of wedding cake from the Village Bakehouse.
"We came in definitely knowing that we needed a lot of things, and this is going to help us out," added McKiddy.
