A Pima County jury convicted a man in the fatal road rage shooting of a 40-year-old man  at a shopping center parking lot last year.

Marcus Dickson, 26, is scheduled to be sentenced for one count of manslaughter on July 30, the Pima County Attorney's Office said in press release said.

On June 30, 2017, Dickson pulled in front of a minivan, blocking it in the parking lot of the Arizona Pavilions Shopping Center after being frustrated with the driver, the news release said.

Dickson got out of his car and engaged in an altercation with the man. Shortly after, he pulled out a gun and shot the man two times.

Martin Padilla was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the passenger in the van as his oldest son was driving, the release said.

Marana Police Department detectives determined the shooting was an isolated incident.
