In its second annual donation drive, Arizona Hearing Specialists is seeking funds and goods to help Mexican children with debilitating health problems.
The organization is seeking donations of cash, toys, clothing and nonperishable food to give to kids at St. Andrew's Children's Clinic in Nogales, Ariz. The clinic helps Mexican children whose parents can't afford health care.
At Saturday's event, which takes place simultaneously between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Arizona Hearing Specialists' Tucson (7574 N. La Cholla Blvd.) and Green Valley (512 E. Whitehouse Canyon Road, No. 196) locations, donors will receive raffle tickets for prizes including a pair of high-end hearing aids worth $7,000. Tickets will also be available for purchase at $10 apiece or three for $25.
Coffee and doughnuts will be served during the drive.

Arizona Hearing Specialists office administrator Angelina Cruse said the organization will accept donations of hearing aids of all types and sizes, regardless of whether or not they're in working condition. The organization has them refurbished and distributes them to children at St. Andrew's the first Thursday of every month except for July.
During each of those visits, the organization helps between 200 and 250 kids, testing their hearing and fitting those in need for hearing aids.
Arizona Hearing Specialists has pledged to donate $50 to St. Andrew's for every new patient who buys hearing aids through the clinic by Dec. 15.
