If you’d like to do a good deed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is Monday, you can walk a dog or cuddle a cat at the Pima Animal Care Center.
From 10 a.m. to noon the shelter, at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, is hosting a dog walk and cat cuddle event. Families are welcome, according to the center, but only people 16 and older can walk dogs.
The center will be open for adoptions from noon to 3 p.m. that day. Adopters can set their own price by making a donation of their choice to the shelter.
There also will be an open house at noon for people interested in volunteering at the shelter.
The shelter is open seven days a week — noon-7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, except the last Sunday of the month.
