The murder of a Tucson eye doctor will be featured on the Investigation Discovery program "Solved" this week.

The episode "An eye for murder" examines the case of Dr. Brian Stidham, a popular Tucson ophthalmologist, who was found murdered in the parking lot of his office in October 2004.

The program will air tonight at 6 and 9 on the Investigation Discovery Channel 104 on the Cox digital cable network in Tucson.

The program will be rebroadcast several times this week.

Stidham's former partner Dr. Bradley Schwartz was convicted in May 2006 of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and sentenced to life with parole possible after 25 years.

According to investigators, Schwartz became jealous of Stidham and hired Ronald Bruce Bigger to kill his former partner.

Bigger was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in a separate trial in May 2007. He is also serving a life sentence.
