Sonoita’s popular Steak Out restaurant opened its Marana sister restaurant on Tuesday, just in time to iron out some kinks before next week’s Accenture Match Play golf tournament gets under way.
The restaurant, on North Thornydale Road at West Tangerine Road, is one of three new restaurants that have opened in the Dove Mountain area of Marana since late December. The others are VinTabla-owned Dove Mountain Grill and the second outpost of Vero Amore, a popular pizza-and-pasta joint. Both are in the plaza at North Dove Mountain Boulevard and Tangerine.
The Steak Out is owned by the Wystrach family; son Michael is general manager of the Marana restaurant.
Michael Wystrach said the menu — grilled steaks, ribs and chicken — and the prices — entrees run from $12.95 to $35.95 — are the same as at the Sonoita restaurant, which is run by his parents, Michael and Grace. Entrees come with salad and beans.
