New York State's travel quarantine list is a little bit shorter.
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced that four states, Ohio, Rhode Island, New Mexico and Alaska are now OK for traveling to and from New York State.
Meanwhile, South Dakota and Hawaii, as well as the Virgin Islands, were put on the list.
There are now 31 states on the quarantine list, as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The list has been as high as 34. New York has joined with New Jersey and Connecticut in instituting the travel advisory in an effort to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Ohio was placed on the quarantine list on July 14.
Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel said in a release that he was delighted to see Ohio off the quarantine list.
"This is great news that Ohio has been removed from the incoming travel advisory," Wendel said. "Our close proximity to Ohio and Pennsylvania has a direct impact on our economy."
