Chairman Ajit Pai needs to be immediately removed as head of the FCC. He has done little to protect the customer and free speech, which are primary duties of that commission. We need better leadership and a stronger FCC. They should be going after the non-competitive practices of large ISPs. Currently, they have established an oligopoly, where they don't compete in each other's territories. This means most homes in the US only have one choice of provider. Due to this lack of competition, ISPs can charge whatever they want. Prices for cable TV and broadband internet have been far outpacing inflation for decades now. It needs to end. Worse than that, Chairman Ajit Pai wants to loosen regulations protecting Net Neutrality. If that happens, not only will the Internet cease to be a true marketplace of ideas, but competition in that burgeoning industry will be severely hampered. Once again, this is spitting in the face of the American consumer.
