Banner University Medical Center Tucson - Associate Director
MSN, BSN, RN, CCTC
Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing
I have been a registered nurse for nearly 30 years, with a clinical background in critical care and a professional focus on organ donation and transplantation. I began my nursing career in critical care, where caring for patients and families during end-of-life situations sparked an interest in organ donation and transplant.
After seven years in the intensive care unit, I transitioned to a role as an Organ Procurement Coordinator, where I gained experience across the donation continuum and developed an understanding of donor management, family support, and collaboration with transplant teams. I later transitioned into a role as a Lung Transplant Coordinator, supporting patients throughout the transplant process and coordinating complex, multidisciplinary care.
