Arizona volleyball head coach Charita Stubbs will lead the program into the next decade after signing a three-year contract extension through the 2030 season, Arizona Athletics announced Wednesday.
Stubbs, a former Arizona volleyball player herself, has been on the volleyball staff for a total of 22 seasons. She was named head coach of the team in January 2023.
“We are pleased to extend Coach Stubbs and recognize the positive trajectory of Arizona Volleyball under her leadership,” Arizona Athletics director Desireé Reed-Francois said in a press release. “The program continues to grow and compete for NCAA Tournament opportunities while supporting student-athlete development in the classroom and the community. We appreciate Coach Stubbs' investment in Arizona Athletics and the Tucson community and look forward to the program's continued success.”
