Arizona guard Caleb Love was one of 10 players named semifinalists for the Naismith Trophy, one of the major college basketball player of the year honors.
Also named Pac-12 Player of the Year and to the 15-player Wooden Award ballot, the Naismith honor signals that Love is also a likely candidate to be named to an all-American team.
A senior transfer from North Carolina, Love leads Arizona (25-7) in scoring while shooting 42.6% overall and 35.3% from 3-point range.
Purdue's Zach Edey won the Naismith Trophy last season and is a frontrunner to win player of the year awards this season.
Love's former teammate at North Carolina, RJ Davis, was also named a Naismith semifinalist, while Davis and Love were also both named to the 15-player Wooden Award ballot and among the five finalists for the Naismith's Jerry West Award for the nation's top college shooting guard.
