Back in the Final Four, the Pima College women's basketball team will now get a shot at some revenge.
The No. 4-seeded Aztecs topped No. 12 seed Union County (NJ) 88-75 in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Division II National Tournament on Thursday in Hickory, N.C.
Friday, the Aztecs (28-4) were set to take on No. 1 seed Johnson County (Kan.) CC in a rematch in the semifinals. Johnson County beat Pima 75-67 in last year's championship game. Friday's game was in progress at the Star's press time.
Kiley Sours-Miller had 29 points on 13-of-17 shooting to go with 10 rebounds and three assists in Thursday's victory. Lucy Fisher added 14 points and seven rebounds, and Melicia Nelson notched 10 points, nine assists, nine steals and six rebounds.

Pima used an early 10-0 run to go up 21-14 after the first quarter. The Aztecs upped their advantage to 40-31 by halftime and stayed comfortably ahead in the second half as the lead stayed between nine and 19 points.

The Aztecs bench dominated in the first half, outscoring the Owls 24-1. Pima's starters then scored all 48 second-half points.
"I thought (our bench) did great," said Cassie Coolidge, who had seven points. "Our rotations were a little different today, but everyone stepped up when they came off the bench and did what they were supposed to do."
Johnson County brings a 34-0 record into Friday's game, but won only 79-77 over North Iowa Area CC in Thursday's quarterfinal. The Cavaliers took the lead for good on a basket with 41 seconds left that snapped a 75-75 tie.
Men's basketball
Pima suffered its first loss of the season in Thursday's NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Danville, Ill., falling 78-77 to No. 5 seed Iowa Central CC. Pima is eliminated from national title contention and now moves to the consolation bracket.
No. 4-seeded Pima (33-1) led 76-68 with 3:42 left, but was outscored 10-1 the rest of the way. Iowa Central’s Tashun Pender hit the game-winning basket with 20 seconds left.
Isaiah Hill had a team-high 25 points for Pima, and Mason Hunt added 21.
The Aztecs were scheduled to play No. 2 Palm Beach (Fla.) State College in Friday's consolation semifinals.
