TUCSON, AZ – The Tucson Roadrunners, American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Utah Mammoth, announced today that the team has assigned five players to the Allen Americans of the ECHL: forwards Sam Lipkin, Miko Matikka and Noel Nordh, defenseman Terrell Goldsmith and goaltender Jesper Vikman. None of the five players have appeared in a game for the Roadrunners through the team’s first two games of the season.
Lipkin, 23, has recorded 24 points (11g, 13a) and 31 penalty minutes (PIM) in 107 career AHL games with the Roadrunners over parts of the last three seasons. The 6-foot-2, 204-pound forward was selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the seventh round (223rd overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft.
Matikka, 22, has totaled 14 points (5g, 9a) and 21 PIM in 79 career AHL games with the Roadrunners over parts of the last two seasons. He also recorded 12 points (5g, 7a) in 25 ECHL games with Allen during the 2024-25 season. The 6-foot-3, 218-pound forward was selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the third round (67th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.

Nordh, 21, has registered 21 points (6g, 15a) and 10 PIM in 62 career AHL games with the Roadrunners over parts of the last two seasons. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound forward was selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft.
Goldsmith, 21, appeared in three games with the Roadrunners last season, recording seven PIM. The 6-foot-4, 218-pound defenseman was selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft.
Vikman, 24, has posted a 16-18-5 record with a 3.48 goals-against average (GAA), a .880 save percentage (SV%) and one shutout in 41 career AHL games over parts of four seasons with the Henderson Silver Knights. In 58 career ECHL games over parts of three seasons with the South Carolina Stingrays, Tahoe Knight Monsters and Savannah Ghost Pirates, Vikman has recorded a 31-23-2 record with a 3.13 GAA and a .897 SV%. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound netminder was originally selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the fifth round (125th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.
The Roadrunners will travel to San Jose this weekend for a two-game series against the San Jose Barracuda at Tech CU Arena, marking the team’s first road trip of the season. The series opens Friday at 7 p.m. PT, followed by Saturday’s game at 6 p.m. PT. Both games will be available to watch live on AHLtv on FloHockey.
