TUCSON, AZ – The Tucson Roadrunners, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Utah Mammoth, today announced that the club has signed forward Ty Tullio to a one-year AHL contract.
“Tyler proved to be a versatile addition to our forward group, and we look for him to expand on his contributions this season,” said John Ferguson, general manager of the Tucson Roadrunners.
Tullio, 24, recorded 23 points (9g, 14a) and 38 penalty minutes (PIM) in 50 games with Tucson during the 2025-26 season, setting career highs in assists and plus-minus (+5).
Across four AHL seasons, the 6-foot, 185-pound forward has totaled 85 points (34g, 51a) and 128 PIM in 210 career games with the Roadrunners (2025-26), Calgary Wranglers (2024-25), Rochester Americans (2024-25) and Bakersfield Condors (2022-24). He has also appeared in six Calder Cup Playoff games with the Wranglers and Condors.

The Detroit native set career highs in goals, power-play goals, points and games played during his rookie campaign with Bakersfield in 2022-23, recording 26 points (13g, 13a) and three power-play goals in 63 contests.
Prior to turning professional, Tullio played three seasons with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), totaling 194 points (84g, 110a) and 134 PIM in 187 career games after being selected 11th overall in the first round of the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. He also had 13 points (5g, 8a) and eight PIM in 20 career playoff contests with Oshawa and was named to the OHL Second All-Rookie Team in 2018-19.
In his final junior season in 2021-22, Tullio led the Generals in points (86), goals (42), power-play goals (14) and power-play assists (22), while finishing second on the team in assists (44). His 14 power-play goals ranked fourth in the OHL.
During the 2020-21 season, Tullio played professionally in Slovakia with HK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš, recording 13 points (4g, 9a) and 77 PIM in 19 games in the Slovak Extraliga.
Tullio was originally selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round (126th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft. He was acquired by the Buffalo Sabres on July 5, 2024, as part of a trade that sent Ryan McLeod to Buffalo in exchange for Matt Savoie.
