School may be out for the summer, but the fun is just getting started for Southern Arizona high school baseball players.
Nearly 200 local teen baseball players will compete Tuesday at the 11th annual Southern Arizona High School All-Star Game hosted by the Kino Baseball League.
The event’s five games will take place at the baseball fields at Kino Sports Complex, 2500 E. Ajo Way. The gates open at 5 p.m., with all games starting at 7.
The 10 All-Star teams are named after the event sponsors and are separated by class level. Players on each team were selected by their coaches for their “academic excellence in the classroom and on the baseball field,” according to the Kino Baseball League.
