Former UA softball player Jenae Leles has been added to Arizona Wildcats coach Mike Candrea's staff, part of a restructuring that was announced Tuesday. Leles replaces assistant Alicia Hollowell, who resigned over the summer.
Additionally, Stacy Iveson has been promoted to associate head coach and will handle the pitchers. Caitlin Lowe, who served as the team’s volunteer assistant coach in 2013, will now take on a full-time role with the team.
Leles played at the UA from 2006-09, where she hit 57 home runs. She will coach the infielders.
“Jenae brings a wealth of playing experience as a former national champion and a past member of our USA National team," Mike Candrea said. “She has a great approach to the game and has been a private instructor in Sacramento, Calif. following her national team career. I love her no nonsense approach to the game and her passion for Arizona softball. Our players will benefit from her game experience and pursuit of excellence in committing to the process.”
